About Prof. Dr. Hans Prenen
Prof. Hans Prenen obtained his Medical and PhD Degree from the Catholic University Leuven (Belgium). He is currently head of the Medical Oncology department at the University Hospital Antwerp, director of the University Center for Clinical Research Antwerp (UNICCRA) and Professor of Medicine at the Antwerp University (UA).
He is principal investigator of many oncological clinical studies and is regularly invited to national and international meetings. Prof. Prenen serves on the editorial boards of various journals and has published more than 175 peer reviewed scientific papers of which some in prestigious journals including Nature, Nature Genetics, New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Gastroenterology and Gut. He is currently a member of several international scientific societies. His focus is the clinical development of new anticancer agents in all solid tumors and in particular gastrointestinal cancers.
